Instagram and Facebook data
Regulars Guide is a guide to Houston bars, restaurants, venues and local acts. For venues and acts that have a public Instagram business or creator account, we use Meta's Instagram Graph API to show their public profile picture, bio and recent post photos on their Regulars Guide page. Each photo links back to the original Instagram post.
We do not read personal Instagram accounts, we do not use Facebook or Instagram to sign anyone in, and we do not collect followers, messages, likes or any information about the people who view or interact with those accounts.
How to have it removed
- Venue and act teams: remove any photo yourself under Manage on your page, and clear the Instagram handle there to stop future imports.
- Anyone else (or if you don't manage the page): email [email protected] with the subject "Data deletion request", the Instagram handle, and the Regulars Guide page it appears on. Send it from an address on the business's website or from the Instagram account's contact email so we can confirm it's yours.
We delete the profile details and photos imported from that Instagram account, stop importing from it, and reply to confirm within 30 days (usually within a few days). Deleted photos are removed from our storage, not just hidden.
Your Regulars Guide account
To delete your account and everything you've posted, email [email protected] from your account's email address. We confirm within 30 days. See the privacy policy for what we keep.
